Delaware North Hiring for Rooms Manager, The Westin Buffalo at Buffalo, New York Full Time

The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for Rooms Manager Manager to join our team at The Westin in Buffalo, New York.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manages the Housekeeping and Front Office, Security, and Maintenance departments; including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management and evaluation.

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of 6 Supervisors with a team of over 50 employees.

• Maintains an inventory of supplies and order and distributes supplies and equipment as needed, while working to control cost.

• Maintains a daily “check-out” and “stay-over” report.

• Ensures that all reports, orders, and projects are completed.

• Maintains control of all master keys.

• Effectively monitors and controls expenses and payroll, while ensuring proper resources are in place.

• Works closly with the General Manager and Food and Beverage Director of the on-site restaurant.

• Manages employee issues and escilates to HR as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel operations or hospitality required.

• At least three years’ experience managing and mentoring a team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or similar is strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must have a valid Driver’s License in good standing.

• Must be COVID-19 vaccinated.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift.

• Frequent climbing of stairs.

• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying.

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
