Project/Program Management Advisor – Customer Solution Center (CSC)
Remote – Illinois
As part of Global Presales the Dell Customer Solution Centers are focused on providing customers with confidence that the proposed solution/architecture will satisfy their specific IT requirements or service level objectives (SLOs).

The Project/Program Management Advisor role is the primary interface between our engineers, pre-sales/partners and our customer. This role drives the definition of project scope, acceptance, risk management, insures that POCs are resourced correctly and delivered within the agreed timelines. Leads and manages cross functional team(s) in the establishment, planning and implementation of multiple projects and/or programs.. Identifies priorities and resources relative to each initiative, project or program.
Ensures initiative, project and/or program deliverables are met on time and within budget as required. Creates and delivers presentations, develops communications and communicates to cross-functional audiences both internally and externally.
Effective identification and management of Project Risks. May engage and oversee the work of external vendors. Ensures program deliverables are met timely and efficiently.. Organizes and manages cross-functional problem resolution efforts as required.
Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal process and practices impacting project/program(s). Identifies areas of risk/opportunities and influences and implements continuous improvements.
Defines and reports project/program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics. Develops tools and analytics to support project/program success factors.. Drives PM best practices within the team
How you will hit the ground running
Essential Requirements:
3+ years of project management coupled with a Bachelor’s degree (technical or non-technical) and formal project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma)
Knowledge of the modern data and associated technology including storage, cloud, convergence/hyperconvergene, high performance computing, virtualization and/or data protection
Strong customer focus and attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines, sense of urgency.
Proven track record of project delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication
Project Leadership and Stakeholder Management. Effective Problem solving skills.
