Our Operate Business Unit is looking for a Service Administrator to join our Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington team.

Your typical day will include:

• The first point of contact on the Help Desk for customer queries, and issues
• Create, log and handle incidents or service requests using our service management tool and documented processes
• Working with stakeholders to provide performance and reporting metrics
• Working with the related applications to support us and our client
• Remain up to date with relevant acts and policies to provide correct information to customers
• Prepare spreadsheets to calculate feed and share information
• Actively maintain or create documentation for service management and operational procedures
• Create and prepare monthly and weekly reports
• Work as part of team to actively provide continuous service and process improvements
• Report on performance and trends, recommend changes and mitigate problems as they arise

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:

• 1-2 years’ experience in help desk, support, administration, project coordinator or other similar roles.  
• An understanding of ITIL or ITSM principles, processes and tools is advantageous. 
• Excellent telephone manner, and English language skills, both verbal and written. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with our wider team of technical consultants.  
• Ability to work inclusively with a wide range of people
• Exceptional organisational and problem solving skills, demonstrating an ability to understand commercial challenges, and translate them into requirements to escalate with appropriate channels and following through progress to completion. 
• An eye for detail, working to a high standard of accuracy in fulfilling the cadence of monthly tasks
• Passion to learn about various Acts and Policies for the protection of the Environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
