Delta Air Lines is seeking a Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician. The Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment, and that production and customer goals are achieved .

The Lead AMT duties also include but are not limited to:
Entering time and attendance records

Monitoring production

Communicating daily expectations to crew

Supervising shop production

Providing training to shop personnel

Maintaining cell metric boards

Assisting shop personnel with repair processes

Determining root cause for defects

Giving performance evaluations

Completing assignments given by the Product Line Manager

Developing strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Must have an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license. Must be willing to work rotating or fixed shifts. Must have the ability to act as the working leader of a group of Aviation Maintenance Technicians and/or Helpers, plan and layout work, instruct and supervise the work of the group. Must be a leader in the areas of continuous improvement and safety. Must be able to read and write English and comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. Must be also be able to work and operate in a safe and compliant manner. Must be able to work without close supervision. Must be performing satisfactorily in current position. Must have strong organizational skills Must be able to respond to changing or multiple work demands. Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency
