Position Name: Junior Software Engineer

DeNOVO Solutions is looking for an entry level Software Engineer that can assist with software development activities for developing and maintaining commercial and corporate applications. You will be joining a small motivated development team stewarding DeNOVO into new commercial products. In this role you will learn from a senior SW Engineer and be able to utilize skills you have developed through formal and informal training developing in languages like Java, Python and JavaScript. Further we will support growing your skillset to include cloud development, containerization and automated testing.

Job Description

• Communicate and collaborate across the development team
• Develop and design software systems for maintainability and rapid bug resolution
• Develop working applications utilizing Java and Python
• Desire to learn and take on new challenges

Experience and Education Requirements: To be considered for this role you must have the following:

• You MUST be a U.S. Citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
• 4-year degree either in STEM or with dedicated professional programming experience
• Experience with software development in Java and/or Python
• Ability to collaboratively work on multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with debugging, performance analysis, and test design
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and creativity
• Ability to communicate technical designs and development status effectively

Bonus Points

• Agile knowledge and practice (SAFe or Scrum Alliance background)
• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• UI design experience and data presentation/visualization techniques
• Experience with JavaScript and/or web design
