About the Department of Communities
The work we do at Communities is meaningful and important. We bring together vital services that support children, young people, families and communities to grow and ultimately to thrive. Our opportunities are located across the state – from Esperance in the Great Southern to Kununurra in the East Kimberley. Â
If you’re looking for more than just a job, then apply to become a Child Protection Worker or Field Worker.
About you
We are looking for passionate and caring people from diverse backgrounds who will contribute to our collective ability to make a difference to the lives of individuals, families and communities across Western Australia. You will need to represent our iCREATE Values and have ambition, resilience and a commitment to the welfare and safety of children and young people.
About the role/s
Child protection work is challenging, rewarding and fulfilling. Working alongside families, other agencies and Community organisations you’ll foster respectful relationships to help families build safety and support for their members.
Child Protection Workers/Field Workers have responsibilities covering all aspects of child protection work. They respond to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children, taking legal action where necessary.
