He angitūtanga | About the Role

We have a new Project Coordinator opportunity based within our Strategic Operations unit – a group responsible for supporting the translation of our strategic Operations priorities into actionable work programmes for delivery across the Te Papa Atawhai eco-system. This role is diverse and multi-faceted where you’ll provide dedicated project coordination and support to our Strategic Operations Managers leading on various projects, including the development and implementation of a partnership framework between Treaty partners and Te Papa Atawhai.

You’ll help to design visual tracking systems and coordinate project meetings to ensure our senior leaders, working groups and external partners remain closely aligned and have clear visibility of progress. Working as part of a close-knit team and with support from other Coordinators, you’ll be motivated to assist in the overall development and implementation of projects, ensuring that we remain on track against our deliverables, milestones, reporting and issues management.

• Proven experience in a project coordination or administration role;
• An understanding of project methodologies with the ability to monitor project progress and pro-actively handle any issues that arise, or escalate, as appropriate;
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and time-flow management skills with the ability to keep on track with key milestones and deadlines;
• Strong communication skills with the ability to produce quality written work;
• The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, other colleagues and key external stakeholders; and
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel for project tracking.
