He angitūtanga: About the Role
The Biodiversity Monitoring Team is looking for exceptional staff members to deliver biodiversity monitoring work across New Zealand. You will provide specialist skills and experience for the operational delivery of the national biodiversity monitoring programme. This will entail a significant allocation of fieldwork to collect biodiversity monitoring data from a wide range of sites and projects plus providing office-based advice when requested. You will be part of a national team and may have responsibilities that extend beyond the location where you reside. Put simply, these are specialist technical monitoring roles that involve a large proportion of time in the field across many different sites.
We have multiple positions available, depending on the preference of the successful candidate and the needs of the team at each location, these roles could be based in Hokitika, Invercargill, Palmerston North or Rotorua. These are permanent full-time positions working 40-hour weeks over winter, and from September till March, work on a roster approx. 12 days on, 6 days off (40hr week average). Permanent part-time is also an option for these positions

The salary range for this position is $53,776 up to $61,706 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
