Ara Poutama Aotearoa is striving to achieve positive health and safety outcomes for its people and others by applying special attention to its critical health and safety risks and applying a strategic and considered approach to the management of these risks.
This role’s key focus is supporting the Principal Adviser Critical H&S Risks in the development of our Critical Health and Safety Risk framework. This will involve researching potential control approaches, drafting collateral and building relationships across the Department to gain stakeholder input and buy-in.
This role operates in a challenging environment but one which is highly supportive and part of a valued team. The role will allow you to showcase your impressive written and verbal communication skills where you can clearly articulate ideas and H&S requirements, as well as your engaging workstyle which sees you easily build effective and collaborative working relationships.

We are after someone already working in the H&S field who wants to further their H&S expertise. Someone who gets things done with energy and drive and who wants to make a tangible difference to our people.
It is desirable but not essential that you have knowledge of and have worked with a critical health and safety risk framework.
Ideally you have a relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety, or you are working towards a H&S qualification
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The full range (85%-120%) is $66,411 – $93,756. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
