Corrections’ Media Team is looking for a new Communications Adviser. Our team is responsible for engaging with journalists and media outlets, responding to media queries, managing filming and interview requests, supporting senior leaders through events and issues, and managing Corrections’ social media channels.

In the role of Communications Adviser, you will support Corrections’ media engagement by providing communications knowledge, support and advice. This includes being the initial point of contact for journalists, assisting with the management of media queries, and monitoring social media channels.
Key Accountabilities Include But Are Not Limited To
This role is based at National Office in Wellington, with the need to be based on site for the majority of the week. This is due to the reactive nature of the role and level of stakeholder support often required at short notice. There is an on-call element to the role, which can be discussed at interview stage.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The midpoint of the salary range is $84,594 and the full range (85%-120%) is $71,905 – $101,513. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
