Ngā kawenga | About the role

We have two exciting Portfolio Coordinator opportunities within Infrastructure & Digital Assets (IDA) to support the Portfolio Management Office Teams in the Asset Management team and the Digital team. IDA provides a range of services to support the delivery of Corrections’ core business and ensure we maintain consistent service delivery.

These roles are focussed on ensuring portfolio processes and controls are coordinated effectively while supporting the wider Portfolio Management Office.

As the Portfolio Coordinator you will also have the opportunity to:

• Learn how a Portfolio Management Office operates in a large government department.
• Develop and be coached by subject matter experts in portfolio and programme/projects.
• Coordinate and prepare portfolio reporting to governance groups, management groups and other stakeholders as required including supporting Programme boards/Product Groups to deliver reporting requirements via our P3 tool, Sentient
• Assist the Portfolio Management Office Team in maintaining the portfolio framework and strategy that the Programmes/Product Groups will work within, including all controls and tolerances;
• Support workshops, meetings and other portfolio-related events, support Programmes/Product Groups and projects to maintain EPMO procedures and deadlines.
• Maintain the portfolio artefacts in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager wider Portfolio Management Office Team.

If you have demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgement and assertiveness, and may also have practical experience working within projects, then we would like to hear from you!

We are looking for someone who thrives working in a busy team, demonstrates initiative and uses their strong interpersonal skills to build rapport. You’ll have great attention to detail and strong prioritisation and time management skills as well.

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates who also demonstrate alignment with our kaupapa. In addition, you’ll bring:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated administration and analytical experience in a corporate environment and/or public sector environment.
• Experience working within a portfolio or programme/project environment or similar. (Not essential but beneficial)
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of programmes, in particular Word, Excel, and experience with our P3 tool Sentient or similar P3 Management System would also be beneficial.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The mid point of the salary range is $84,594 and the full range (85%-120%) is $71,905 – 101,513$. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
