Department of Internal Affairs NZ Looking for Ministerial Specialist at Wellington City, Wellington Full Time

Six Month Fixed Term – covering a period of leave.

Ministerial Resourcing is a team based within Ministerial Services (MaSS), a business unit responsible for providing a range of services to the executive arm of government (including VIP Transport, managing official visits to New Zealand), as well as support and advisory functions to bodies such as the Gambling Commission.

The Resourcing Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Ministerial Resourcing, MaSS, with the successful candidate expected to be a key contributor within Ministerial Resourcing.

Key responsibilities of the role are to provide robust operational and best practice advice and support to the end-to-end resourcing requirements and entitlements of Ministers and their offices.

• A working knowledge of New Zealand Government
• Experience of working on the Parliamentary Precinct (welcomed but not essential)

This opportunity would be a great fit for an experienced administrator wanting to broaden their skills in a team where they will also act as a subject matter expert. A reasonable degree of risk awareness and political nous would be advantageous, however support will be provided to the successful candidate to build relationships with key stakeholders.
