Job Title: Name List Screening (NLS) Regulatory Alignment & Strategy

You will be joining the pillar of the NLS team which is responsible for providing real-time monitoring and horizon scanning of global and regional regulatory obligations and expectations relating to the prevention of financial crime, i.e. Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, etc. with particular focus on assessing actual risk exposure, and defining and embedding appropriate risk mitigation frameworks and processes for NLS. Your key responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that the NLS is aligned to the Bank’s internal policy and risk appetite, global and local legal and regulatory requirements and expectations, incl. strategy
Monitor legal and regulatory changes, enforcement actions, emerging market practices and trends, and assess applicability and potential impact on NLS
Work with other relevant internal functions to define and map legal and regulatory requirements for AFC NLS to policies and screening mandates in line with the Bank’s risk appetite
Identify financial crime risks and ensure control embedment into NLS framework and execution
Identify opportunities for a holistic risk management approach for NLS across the Bank
Your skills and experience
Significant experience within the area of AFC (Sanctions & Embargoes, Know Your Customer (KYC), Politically Exposed Persons and Adverse Media) and proven knowledge of NLS
Excellent knowledge of Financial Crime risks
Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory and legal language / documentation and translate them into business / operational requirements
Strategic thinker who works highly independently with drive to deliver excellent results combined with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including proficiency in all Microsoft office applications
Experience working for regulators, Big4 or internal audit preferred; background from law enforcement with relevant AFC experience will be considered. Legal background preferred
