DFOWW Incorporated Hiring for Board Member at Remote Full Time

Seeking Volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors as a board member

dfoww, Incorporated is a 501(c)3 federal tax exempt nonprofit charity organization. We offer free academic literacy services to the public. The Write-Right Literacy Program was created specifically to address the inequality and the literary achievements challenges that disproportionately impact low income, minority individuals and communities. The Write-Right Literacy Program is common core standard, and helps prepare adults 18 and up who did not graduate from high school, take the Reasoning Through Language Arts portion of the State GED test.

In addition, through our Write-Right Nutrition Program (WRNP) we are also helping to address the food insecurity challenges that disproportionately impact low income, minority communities.

All those who successfully complete the Write-Right Literacy Program will receive a $200.00 financial reward scholarship. A portion of the money can be used to help cover the cost to take the Reasoning Through Language Arts portion of the state GED test ($160 cost).

We are in need of English teachers, Reading literacy teachers, journalists, copy editors, computer science majors, grant writers and those with leadership experience to join our active board of directors. Board member positions are non-paid volunteer positions; however, all members are certified with the State. People choose to join boards for charity causes they are passionate about, and because they want to help build the community by helping others.
