About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a full time ETL, SSIS & Database Developer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, develop, apply, and support complex enterprise projects with primary focus on ETL, SSIS and Database development;
• Evaluate customer requirements and provide effective solutions;
• Interface with other offices, consult with and inform user departments on system requirements, and resolve
• problems and operating difficulties for current and future enhancements to WMATA’s systems;
• Participate in problem resolution related to system design and review;
• Recommend approval of functional and technical design documents and enactment of systems, program
• enhancements, and updates of applications;
• Analyze and evaluate system changes to determine feasibility, alternative solutions, and backup
• procedures; and
• Work on the development of new systems, upgrades, and enhancements to existing systems and ensure
• systems are compliant with approved standards.
• Designing new ETL’s based on business needs
• Debugging, testing and troubleshooting the system to validate all data flows
• Maintain the ETL process and database
• Support new initiatives as per client needs
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve performance issues in dev and production
• Run ad hoc reports when requested by client
• Monitor daily ETLs and alert team in case of failure
• Maintaining and updating databases when needed
• Enhance existing ETL designs based on new requirements and deploy it

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics,
• Finance, Business or Public Administration, or in a related discipline;
• Proficiency with relevant programming languages, programming tools, and development
• platforms;
• Proficiency with software development and project management methodologies;
• Knowledge of the methods, tools, and techniques used to evaluate, select, develop, test,
• integrate, and troubleshoot systems software and hardware of all types;
• Demonstrated progressive responsibility with diversified technical level information systems
• and data processing management; and
• Knowledge of multi-tiered applications such as web services, clustered environments,
• database servers, application servers, and report servers.
