About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Full Stack Web to support an Operations & Maintenance and Enhancements project to support customer on a high visibility program in the Washington, DC area.

As a Full Stack Web Developer, you’ll be working to provide web-based solutions to our clients’ various business challenges. You’ll tap into your experience with Perl, PHP, Ruby, Python, HTML5, javascript and other web-based tools and technologies to aid in the construction of intuitive web-based applications.

You won’t be just a developer focused on one technology or application layer. Rather, you’ll be a valuable team member developing across all layers of client solutions and will experience cross functional training through all aspects of project lifecycles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain php web site and applications
• Create software development plans and strategies for ongoing operational needs
• Work as a team sharing code using GitHub, Azure Dev Ops or similar tool
• Conduct quality control of software development
• Work with architects on a gap analysis to determine what additional features and functional are required to handle the meta data and change management needs
• Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of software development process
• Develop and implement various classes and algorithms
• Interact with databases, metadata and database design and indexing
• Perform code troubleshooting and unit testing
• Write quality code documentation and provide comments on all code
• Perform root cause analysis, outline corrective action, and identify mitigation strategies for production issues

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

• Full Stack Developer (C, Core Java, J2EE, Perl/Shell script, Unix)
• Minimum of 7 years total experience as an engineer doing production support and development with core Java, J2EE, Strut2, JavaScript, Perl/Shell scripts, UNIX
• Strong in Core Java, Strut2, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP Web services, C
• Strong experience in application design, design patterns and performance tuning
• Experience of working on SQL Server databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Should have strong production application support experience and should have ability to troubleshoot the production issues quickly
• Strong/hands-on experience to troubleshoot in a Unix/Linux environment
• Basic knowledge of MS technologies (MS.Net, SharePoint, MSBI, VBA Macro) will be added advantage
• Self-starter, ability to read and develop from a spec
• Ideal candidate has strong Java, J2EE, Perl/Shell Script, UNIX background
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated and excellent presentation skills
• Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Location:Remote work, except for meetings and troubleshooting/testing at customer facilities in Washington, DC area.
