Discovery, Inc Hiring for Autocue & Library Assistant Job at Auckland Full Time

Responsibilities:

• To operate the autocue for Live and prerecorded elements in the Newshub, Project and AM show studios
• Be responsible for knowing the technicalities of operating the autocue computer and problem solve solutions as/when required
• Work rostered shifts across the day and be available for breaking news in the event of it occurring
• Comprehension of Newshub show formats and written cues in scripts
• Ability to follow along the autocue operation to the timing of the presenter speaking
• Knowledge of upcoming stories to assist presenters as required
• Listening and understanding requests from the control room, adapting to new items and changes
• Understand and follow live studio etiquette guidelines
• Creating detailed database records for news stories and related raw camera footage
• Assist the Media Librarians in maintaining the library archival systems and harvesting vision on the AVID editing systems
• Provide high-quality news media library services to Newshub staff across the country, and to other internal and external clients
• Ensure routine procedures and processes are carried out to contribute to the smooth functioning of the news media library
• Steady output of comprehensive, high quality database records
• The Employee shall ensure they are familiar with the Employer’s health and safety policies and procedures, and any modifications to those policies and procedures that may be introduced from time to time
• Carry out your work safely and without endangering or causing harm to yourself, fellow staff members, contractors, customers, visitors, or the general public
• Other duties as required
