To be a leader in the delivery of on-air content for lifestyle, feature, entertainment and regular interview segments, as well as coordinating and producing integration content.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of interview segments that are lifestyle, feature & entertainment focused
- Come up with talent & topic ideas for these segments
- Hold regular meetings with production staff to create idea generation
- Liaise with the Supervising Producer on the delegation of duties for jobs list
- Be a regular contributor of ideas for news interviews, talent and angles
- Responsible for coordinating and organising regular contributors, including correspondents
- Monitor foreign stringer budgets and report to EP monthly
- Attend integration meetings and along with the Executive Producer, be the liaison between integration & AM Show
- Promptly respond to integration queries & requests
- Produce integration segments
- Oversee and produce digital and social media content for The AM Show, particularly with regards to integrated content to fulfill obligations to clients
- Liaise with clients when required
- Provide ideas for integration content that are suitable for The AM Show
- On Fridays, oversee news pitches, make bids, and ensure a tidy handover for Monday’s show
- Package and send gifts & prizes to viewers when required
- Be a clear communicator
- Adhere to BSA broadcasting code
- Uphold the company values and expected behaviours in all undertakings related to your employment
- Ensure you’re familiar with the Employer’s policies and procedures, and any modifications to those policies & procedures that may be introduced from time to time
- Carry out your work safely and without endangering or causing harm to yourself, fellow staff members, contractors, customers, visitors or the general public
- To advise the classification & legal advisers of the show of any relevant issues arising & to implement their advice
- The Employee shall ensure they are familiar with the Employer’s health & safety policies and procedures, & any modifications to those policies and procedures that may be introduced from time to time
- Carry out your work safely & without endangering or causing harm to yourself, fellow staff members, contractors, customers, visitors, or the general public
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Experience making TV content, writing scripts & working with editors to create finished video content
- A hard working team player who understand the importance of a team & contributing constantly at a high level
- A creative thinker, who is able to think outside of the box, to develop interesting ideas for content that’s entertaining & informative
- Experience working with clients in an advertising or Integration context, delivering content to satisfy their commercial needs
- Team-oriented individual who provides a high level of communication, support and respect to team members across all levels & holds respect for other team members’ responsibilities
- An intrinsic interest & passion for keeping informed about current social and political events and issues – both locally and internationally
- A believer of individual drive with team success & shared acknowledgement
- A clear and positive communication style that demonstrates an understanding of the various pressures on others in the team
- An enthusiasm for fitting commercial content into an entertaining TV format
- Ability to function professionally in a high-pressure environment with daily deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills
