Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution Hiring for Software Engineer Job at Richmond, Australia Full Time

The software engineer is responsible for the ongoing design, management and hygiene of multiple tech systems across the Walt Disney company, ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency and extracting clean, valuable data for use across all lines of business.

Working closely with the Tech Lead, Disney, the software engineer will evaluate Disney Digital’s range of technological systems and identify limitations and deficiencies and their associated processes, procedures and methods.

The software engineer will research, consult, analyse and evaluate system needs, with a view to bringing interoperability across multiple lines of business, helping Disney extract clean, usable data for use across the suite of digital products. These will include, but are not limited to, data enrichment, martech, adtech and personalisation.

Responsibilities :

Systems architecture

• Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure for all non-Matterhorn Disney destinations, ensuring they are operating at maximum efficiency and using industry best practice tools & systems.
• Working with Disney Global Information Security, uphold tech infrastructure security and risk mitigation standards.
• Oversee and implement data tracking for use by Data Management Platform software and other products as needed.

Database administration:

• Working with the Tech Lead and Digital Director, architect solutions for the Disney Data Strategy to ensure maximum value for all lines of business across the Walt Disney Australia
  & NZ.
• Ensure the hygiene of all data from multiple sources across the Walt Disney Company for clean extraction and insertion into third-party systems, including Snowflake, LiveRamp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Target and other data management and enrichment systems.
• Ensuring the regular analysis and reporting on data sets, helping identify key new opportunities to deliver value across all Disney Lines of Business.
• Working with Product Managers and the Business Analyst, use data & analytics to help plan new products, features and improved user experiences.
• Ensures best practice knowledge of industry trends to constantly improve data management practices.

Basic Qualifications :

We’re seeking someone with 5+ years of experience of Software Engineering experience, and exposure to the media and entertainment industry will be highly advantageous.
