The primary responsibility of this position is to provide a variety of clerical and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the Medical Billing Department and the corporate office.
What You’ll Do:
- Greets and directs visitors to the office
- Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail
- Assists with daily deposit of payments received
- Performs data entry, filing, and mailing tasks for Medical Billing department and all in Corporate Office
- Review and enter all patient demographic information into billing system making sure all information is correct and accurate.
- Verify patient insurance carriers utilizing various approved websites
- Research unconfirmed insurance where applicable
- Answer phones as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You Need:
- High School graduate
- Data entry computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Basic understanding of office equipment
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems
- Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
