THE SALES AND MARKETING ASSISTANT ROLE EXISTS TO:
Support the team with sales and marketing activities that enable Disruptive to achieve its mission. To plan, coordinate and oversee our sales and marketing support activities including outreach, events, activities, projects for Disruptive Unicorns and supporting the sales team. The role will ensure the activities and events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. Continuously improve your skills as an assistant, managing and implementing work across the team. Your purpose is to maximize the impact of the sales team and support the effectiveness of the Practice Manager with Customer support and sales proposals as well as booking meetings.
You will be able to manage the sales admin and proposals targets as well as plan and execute a client call cycle calendar. You’ll also work with the wider team on more complex projects and assistant under our guidance. Our brand is directly reflected by the service and work you deliver to our clients, so this is a highly visible role. It is the first face of our business relationships and is responsible for delivering meetings to the client team. Customer service and having a “Can Do” commercial attitude is key.
Duties
Responsibilities include:

Prospecting – Work through existing database and online research to target qualified accounts. Strategize outreach plan for a chosen vertical – who to speak to, why to speak to them and any industry insights.

Sourcing – Churn the database and email prospects each month to get 40 meetings booked in.
*
Attend BANT calls with prospects and get them booked in for a M1 with the Client Manager. Corresponding with clients by recommending and advising marketing techniques designed for their target markets, ensuring it’s in line with the company branding and can create awareness.

Coordinating with the design team to ensure marketing and advertising campaign materials are created in line with client requests and deadlines.
*
Coming up with suggestions to enhance marketing campaigns, work with TVNZ, NZME etc for added solutions.

Preparing budgets marketing activities and ensuring adherence

Specific to this role: Disruptive Unicorns as a Client
Ensure you are a sales champion and drive booking meetings for the business. You will also be responsible for owning and developing the monthly campaign recommendations, market information and trends. You will deliver on agreed KPI’s and report back to the Client and Head of the Agency how the agreement is tracking. Ideas are valued and delivery is king!
Qualifications: Ideally you are Degree Qualified in Marketing, Communications or Design but not necessary. An ability to learn and to be a continuous learner will be key. Trello, HubSpot Inbound Marketing, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Advertising, SEO. Video production and Editing. Design Thinking, Sprinting and Scrum.
