District of West Vancouver Looking for Dishwasher at West Vancouver, BC Full Time

The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department has immediate openings for Casual Dishwashers at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre’s busy cafeteria.

Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, primary duties will include:

• Ensuring that all dishes are washed, dried and put away
• Washing, drying and storing laundry as needed
• Communicating with volunteers who are assisting with tasks
• Conforming with health and safety regulations
• Performing other kitchen duties as required

The preferred candidate will have an excellent work ethic along with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work well under strict time constraints. Working knowledge of industrial dishwashers will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials. All District employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of hire.

Position Status:

Union (WVMEA) – Casual

Hours of Work:

Up to 20 hours per week. Hours and days of work may vary and will include weekend and/or early morning or evening hours.

Starting Rate of Pay:

Market Adjustment: $17.09 per hour.

This position has a pay structure with two steps which increases based on the number of hours worked in the position.
