Description : This is technical work, which involves helpdesk assistance in resolving problems reported by CARIBS users so that the unit could function timely and accurately in expediting services provided to the customers. An employee in this class works under the immediate supervision of a higher-level officer. Some degree of independence is expected. Duties and Responsibilities : DUTIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE): – Analyzes and solves reported problems by employees through agency’s computer system or by telephone. – Logs and reports all problems received m a monthly report and maintain for future reference. – Researches and resolves routine user’s problems related to computer and communication equipment and software to expedite requested services to customers. – Assists with the system research; installs and tests software updates to determine workability of new designed panel related to Federal/Local eligibility guidelines. – Assists in conducting and coordinating users support for personal computer software/hardware and on-line system through telephone communication and on-site assistance. – Attends conference meetings with management, staff and the agency’s support computer technical company to discuss change to the system; attends RAP sessions to receive information and informs users of the connect way to use system; solicits input from co workers on use of system. – Conducts application and recertification interviews in which a minimum caseload is maintained to ensure input cases for familiarization with process. – Performs other related work as required.
