Senior Software Engineer – Melbourne Office – Permanent Full Time

A bit about the role…
The Agent Solutions team builds and supports our B2B portfolio of products that increase efficiencies and effectiveness for Agents across Australia. The team supports the development of our Agent Solutions product suite, including Homepass, and Pricefinder. Our Homepass product helps agents connect with buyers and sellers, providing delightful, streamlined, innovative experiences and insights from inspection through to transaction.
You will be joining a team with a passion for best practices, innovation, and delivering robust and high performance products to customers. We are not a bank or major enterprise – we’re biased toward action instead of bureaucracy – continuous delivery, automation, refactoring, and Agile.
As part of your role you’ll be learning and developing, collaborating with your team to understand problems and communicating them effectively!
Our team enjoys a relaxed work atmosphere where knowledge sharing is encouraged through regular catch ups, technical guilds, and the wider tech communities. We grab a virtual coffee together every morning after our stand up and are keen attendees at monthly social events such as birthday cakes and all hands but we are also known for getting together as a team and celebrating our own successes.

A day in the life…
- Contribute to a valuable platform used by thousands of real estate professionals every day
- Contribute to architectural planning and technical direction on our platform
- Empower your fellow developers, value the success of the team as a whole and seek to increase the effectiveness of those around you by sharing effort, knowledge and ownership of the product
- Work with your product and engineering teams to improve the experience of Homepass users on Domain’s mobile platforms.
- Write and ship quality code across the stack in one or more of: React, CSS, React Native, NodeJS, Flow or Typescript, and AWS Cloud
- Experiment and prototype features; define development processes to assist rapid building and market test of product ideas.
A bit about you…
- You enjoy driving continuous improvement and technical excellence in the collective output of the team
- You are not afraid of working on the back or the front end of our application stack
- You posses strong knowledge of Javascript and design patterns
- You enjoy working in an iterative, agile / scrum environment with a mindset of continuous learning & improvement
- You have the ability to nurture and foster relationships horizontally and vertically within a large technical organisation.
- You have experience with one or more of: MongoDB, React Native, Graphql, Typescript, Mobile Development
- Familiarity with Cloud, AWS and modern dev ops practices
