We have a great opportunity to combine your love of the outdoors and being paid, by joining our Excell Biosecurity team as a Pest Control Field Operator, based in the lakeside town of Cromwell.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for animal pest control operations in the Otago and South Canterbury regions, ensuring we deliver on our contract requirements.

The Role:
At times you’ll be working as a part of a small team or on your own completing trapping, baiting, surveying and monitoring of pest animals, including possums, pigs and ferrets, so being a self-motivated and energetic person is essential.
As you will be spending long periods in the field, you’ll need a focus on safety and risk management. You’ll couple this with the ability to use GPS and handheld recording devices and be able to maintain accurate records.
About you:
It is essential to have an understanding of animal behaviours through leisure activities or work in a rural environment.
You’ll bring along with you:
A passion and knowledge of the outdoors
Class 1 Full New Zealand driver’s licence
Experience operating a 4 Wheel Drive and/or Light Utility Vehicle (preferred)
First aid certificate (beneficial)
A strong focus on health and safety i.e. keeping you and your work mates safe and modelling our “Stand in the Gap” principle.
