Downer’s Utilities business unit delivers multi-disciplined solutions throughout New Zealand in the telecommunications, energy, water and automation and civil sectors. Our business is growing and with this growth we now have an amazing newly created opportunity for an experienced strategic Sourcing Consultant to join our high performing team.
Reporting to the Utilities Recruitment Lead, the Sourcing Consultant is a senior role that will partner with the business to set sourcing strategies and deliver top quality talent through talent attraction using bespoke, fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies and talent pipelining in New Zealand and offshore markets. You will proactively work with the team on developing and implementing sourcing plans to grow our talent community and reach talent through offshore channels. Your strategies will focus on skilled trade professionals and senior specialised talent, with inclusivity and diversity of talent at the core of these.
You will support offshore campaigns and projects, provide data insights and analytics on recruitment trends, internally and externally to help shape our marketing campaigns and targeted advertising. You will be able to design and implement a comprehensive candidate engagement strategy, and create a vision that engages internal stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for a small portfolio of end to end recruitment as well as leading coaching and mentoring a Recruitment Coordinator, ensuring best practice and desired outcomes are achieved for the business along with exceptional candidate care. You will enjoy the fast-paced nature of a busy and successful internal recruitment function. The role will be based in our Ellerslie office, with flexibility.

- Minimum 3+ years of demonstrated experience in creating, implementing and executing proactive sourcing, and continued development of job specific talent pools, campaigns within NZ and offshore,
