– Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction-related contracts (design/build agreements, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, etc.) according to company policies
– Working with the legal team and executives to resolve project specific issues and to provide legal advice.

– Ensuring compliance with contract management procedures; ongoing support on interpretation of contracts. Ensuring compliance with claim management procedures; advising on claims as they arise.

– Assisting with the development of proposals, including review of Requests for Qualifications/Requests for Proposals
– Reviewing any adjustments made to contracts and ensuring that the specifications comply with agreements made
– Maintaining contract information database and files.
– Open and transparent communications with and reporting to General Counsel/Senior Vice President and to East Regional Counsel, and willingness to take direction.
– Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
**Required Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate
– 7 to 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in contracts and negotiation is a must.
– At least 5 years of construction experience required, preferably in-house.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
– Team player with strong communication skills, reporting skills, analytical skills, negotiating skills and organizational capabilities.
– Familiarity with contract documents and contract law.
– Admission to NY State Bar required
