Who are we?

Drive Yello helps businesses efficiently manage last mile delivery and connects them to gig economy drivers so they can meet the ever-increasing demand for convenience. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for a Front End Engineer to help drive the scaling of our application architecture and product. We work with some of the largest retail clients here in Australia which include Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Coles, Terry White Chemmart just to name a few.

The Role:

As a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting beautifully innovative and functional software that our users can’t live without. While we strive for as much exposure to all aspects of product development, you will be working predominantly in the front end with Javascript/CSS/HTML and interacting heavily with NodeJS and PHP backends. We use React as a front end UI library, TypeScript, and styled components. Prior professional experience in a similar stack is highly beneficial.

You will be implementing well-scoped product and system features, writing well-tested and clean code, and working with other engineers to really own the solutions we are building.

You will work closely with other engineers to set the tone and cadence for delivery; working cross-functionally with other disciplines (Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Member Experience) to further scale the Yello Technology Platform, building new product offerings and help Yello become a global industry leader.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building and delivering customer centric software/systems, and will have strong communication skills and initiative.

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years’ Javascript and Front End software engineering experience
• Solid experience with React, with an understanding of Node and PHP being beneficial
• Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Someone who loves technology and the start-up environment!
