Durand Health, located in Hamilton, ON, Canada is an integrative health clinic that offers preventative health assessments, routine care, functional medicine, specialty programs and many other integrative health services.

We have immediate openings for International Medical Graduates (IMG) for the position of Clinical Assistant. Candidates are expected to work at least one year or until they are matched for Residency. This is an in-person role.

2-3 Part-Time or Full-Time positions available.

Education Required:

Must have completed an MD, MBBS or MBBCh program.
Applicants must have passed the MCCQE Part 1.
Applicants who have passed USMLE Step 2 also can apply.
High level of computer literacy and willing to learn EMR.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Punctuality and attentiveness.
Ability to multi-task in an organized and structured manner.
Interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
Ability to maintain patient and clinic confidentiality.
Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Expected Responsibil it ies:

Competence with recording vital signs
Assisting physicians in regular patient care, scribing, procedures & documentation.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Administrative tasks (filing, sorting, labelling, faxing, copying, etc.)
Specimen handling
Communicating with patients & colleagues.
