As a Journeyman Electrician, your Primary duties are to plan,layout, install and/or repair cable, conduit and equipment in the mostworkmanlike manner possible. The Journeyman Electrician at Duro Electricperforms duties primarily in a jobsite setting. This position will reportdirec1. Works independently or with foreman to plan installations that minimizewasted materials, provide appropriate accesses, avoid unsightly orhazardous installations and meet all appropriate electrical codes.2. Prepares sketches of proposed and/or installed materials, as necessary.3. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electricalconduit using the most appropriate tool for the particular function.4. Pulls wire.5. Prepares wire splices using industry best practices for the requiredsplice-type.6. Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relaysand circuit-breaker panels.7. Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.8. Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safetyof components using appropriate testing equipment.9. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards andneeded adjustments, relocations or replacements.10. Repairs faulty equipment or systems.11. Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Completed apprenticeship program. ValidColorado (or reciprocal) JW license. OSHA 30 certification a plus.KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings as well as the ability touse industry-specific testing equipment.
