We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer who has Expertise & hands-on development in Mainframe technology to code and construct software elements.

Skills required:

• Proficient in developing programs using COBOL
• Experienced with CICS
• Experienced with JCL, PROCS, EZT
• Experienced with Endevor for code management

Strong background in Mainframe Development as well as proven knowledge working in a Distributed environment – with emphasis on online programming (APIs), as well as knowledge and experience in performance tuning of COBOL Code and DB queries

We are looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience in Credit card processing & Payment domain working on Mainframe based Enterprise Financial Card Application initiatives is a MUST (Credit/Debit Card, Reward Card, Loyalty Card Applications, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Performs requirements determination and analysis
• Prepares application designs for the software application
• Investigates and resolve design ambiguity
• Participates in Work Product Reviews
• Mentors more junior development staff
• Estimates effort and duration for tasks related to software elements
• Reports progress of assigned tasks
• Creates system and user documentation as required
• Follows documented change control procedures
• Assures the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of deliverables
• Ensures defects found in products are logged, monitored, fixed and reported complete
• Communicates any issues, concerns, or problems with the project to the Project Manager for resolution
• Performs assigned activities to implement the project according to defined requirements
• Coordinates and communicates the review of all unit tests
• Creates unit/system/integration test plans and cases for software elements
• Conducts system/integration testing
• Ensures test results are communicated and documented according to standards
• Provides after hours application support as negotiated with the Group Manager
• Attends scheduled project status meetings.

It would be great if you also had experience in the following:

• Experience in Incident management, Change and release management along with defect fixes
• Experience in being part of a SWAT Team and High-Severity Incident resolution team
• Knowledge and experience in batch processing & tuning
  
  Trouble shooting batches quickly and accurately on the fly
