Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Sales – Canada to be responsible for driving divisional and regional sales delivery, as well as overseeing all functions of sales. This individual is responsible for motivating and driving their team in achieving quarterly/annual sales goals, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships, and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution. The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for connecting our retail and wholesale digital service offering and providing value to our dealer and commercial partners.
What You Will Do:
Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Senior Leadership Team and other business units to oversee sales regions across Canada, including attracting sales directors and managers, and setting appropriate goals and pay plans
Devise and deploy our new retail to wholesale end to end service offering, all sales goals and objectives across the organization, including the preparation of sales quotas and budgets while ensuring a high level of accuracy and accountability
Implement key performance metrics to improve regional inconsistencies and increase revenue opportunities
Integrate and align sales strategies with available talent, processes, IT systems, and other areas to increase sales force capability and success
Assist and help (along with the Senior Director of Sales Operations and other executives) to create training and development plans for sales managers
Identify top talent, and training opportunities, to enhance and grow the sales management team to progress the organization
Strategically build, develop, and motivate the sales organization to create an effective and powerful team
Collaborate with Marketing to plan and execute trade show appearances and other advertising/marketing objectives
Work with our Fastlane auction team to execute our export strategy
Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals
Collaborate with the executive team to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans
Provide input from sales – including growth, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment – for strategic planning processes
Develop execution strategies and tactics to support strategic plans at the divisional, regional, and international levels
What You Will Need:
University degree in Business, Marketing or related industry experience
7 – 10 years of direct work experience in a senior management capacity, leading sales teams
Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, account development, and business planning
Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
Demonstrated ability to lead and direct sales force
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and advertising theories and practices
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Dealership experience would be an asset
