The Role in Brief:
Associate ETL Engineer *LI
Role is based in Richmond, VA
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring the Production Status, and ensure the ETL process works as expected; handle customer communication around production issues
Manage pipeline of tickets and ensure on time delivery
Work on projects focused on continuous improvement of the application support model and associated processes using appropriate technologies.
Respond to system generated alerts/escalations relating to any failures on application platform.
Perform root cause analysis and identify and implement corrective and preventive measures
Document standards, processes and procedures relating to best practices, issues and resolutions
Effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
Be available on call (on rotation) in a support role
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technology related field
2+ years of SQL or other query language experience
1+ years of Experience with at least one of the ETL tools (preferably Talend)
1+ years of experience working with ticketing systems like JIRA, Salesforce or others
Experience working with globally distributed teams
Experience with basic JAVA coding
Strong communication skills at all levels of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
Flexible with time to provide after-hours support to meet critical deadlines
Even Better:
Professional experience providing application support in a data warehouse environment
Experience or familiarity with Unix/Linux command line or executing bash scripts
Proven record of accomplishment in solution focused problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in an in a rapidly changing environment where documentation for job execution is not yet fully fleshed out
Experience working with log analysis tools (Log entries/Compose)
