Our client, a leading private equity firm, is actively seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of their portfolio companies in the SaaS sector. The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, enhancing operational efficiencies, and driving sustainable growth.

Position Overview:

The CEO will be tasked with the overall strategic leadership of the SaaS company, leveraging extensive industry experience to boost performance, streamline operations, and initiate growth strategies. This role demands an innovative leader skilled in managing the complexities of a PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chart the strategic direction and oversee the operations of the SaaS company, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Manage all key business functions, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales.
• Propel strategic growth through mergers, acquisitions, and market expansion.
• Enhance operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
• Uphold strong corporate governance and internal control systems.
• Align with the private equity firm on strategic goals and performance metrics.
• Provide inspirational leadership to the executive team, promoting a culture of high performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial and operational reporting to stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events and build significant relationships with key players.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA highly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in the SaaS sector.
• A robust track record as a CEO or in a similar senior executive role within a PE-backed environment.
• Deep understanding of SaaS business operations and industry dynamics.
• Exceptional strategic, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure.

Location and Travel Expectations:

• Candidates must currently reside in the Washington DC, New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, or Charlotte metro areas.
• Willingness to travel 25-40% monthly between company sites and for stakeholder engagements is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive base salary ranging from $375,000 to $450,000 per year, based on experience.
