Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone required)

Travel: Up to 60%, including one week per month in Tampa, Florida and regular visits to operational sites

To support this evolution, the company is seeking a highly effective Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee day-to-day business operations, drive performance, and build a sustainable platform for growth.

Position Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for translating strategic vision into operational execution, ensuring the business runs efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with overall objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering with other members of the executive team, the COO will lead key functional areas including operations, supply chain, customer service, and business process improvement. The ideal candidate brings deep operational experience in high-growth environments and has led teams through transformation, systems modernization, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across the business, driving efficiency, execution, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
• Build scalable infrastructure across operations, systems, and processes to support current and future growth.
• Partner with the CEO and private equity sponsors to develop and execute strategic plans and performance initiatives.
• Drive operational KPIs and implement dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility and accountability across functions.
• Oversee key transformation efforts, including system implementations, workflow optimization, and post-M&A integration.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Technology, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless cross-functional operations.
• Identify and implement best practices across supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and customer experience functions.
• Build and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement.
• Travel frequently to the Tampa headquarters and other company locations to maintain alignment with frontline operations and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of operational leadership experience, including previous COO or senior operations roles in PE-backed or high-growth businesses.
• Proven experience managing large, distributed operations and leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts.
• Deep expertise in supply chain, logistics, customer operations, and business process reengineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, build high-performing teams, and implement performance-driven cultures.
• Strong systems orientation with experience in ERP implementation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Track record of successful collaboration with CEOs, Boards, and private equity investors.
• Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone and be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
