ECFX Looking for Software Engineer at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

ECFX, a dynamic growth stage business, is seeking a Java Developer to help build its state-of-the-art SaaS application for the legal tech market. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using Java to address complex business issues. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, develop and execute software solutions using PostgreSQL, Java, and Micronaught to address customer needs
• Troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently
• Participate in daily Scrums and all other agile activities
• Take direction from the product owner on user stories
• Take technical direction and feedback from the Chief Software Architect
• Monitor alerts to troubleshoot production issues with our live operations.
• Update code in the projects mentioned above to address production issues.
• Participate in code review sessions as part of our merge request process in GitLab.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 3 to 7 years of experience building applications
• The following technical skills:
• Java 11+ and Object-Oriented Design
• Web design basics spanning the last 10 years: use of CSRF, Oauth2, SPA, etc.
• HTTP and REST
• Git
• CI/CD pipelines
• Postgres
• Docker
• Ability to come up with simple solutions to complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ideal candidates will also have one or more of the following:
• Advanced degree in Computer Science
• Knowledge of the legal industry and law firms
• Knowledge of the Lean Startup method
