Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for exciting college internship opportunities for summer 2024. Join us as we work toward a clean energy future for the communities we serve Location: This is a hybrid-remote position reporting to our Madison, WI office Start Date: Monday, May 20th What you will do As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll learn industry best practices for software development, including writing high quality code in Node and React, writing automated tests and learning Agile/Scrum development best practices. You’ll work with various team members and assist in coding/software development for ongoing department projects. Qualifications: We are looking for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering Preferred: Junior or Senior Currently holding a GPA of 2.75 or higher Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Prior computer programming experience Knowledge of data structures and algorithms Demonstrated organizational skills and personal accountability Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Preferred: Experience with Rest APIs, Node, React and Web Application development Our people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
