Full Time Admissions Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Admissions Coordinator assists the Admissions Supervisor in responding to inquiries from potential

patients (and/or family members or referral sources) looking for services throughout EHN Canada. This

includes making financial, medical and detoxification assessments/arrangements prior to their

admission.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information on programs throughout EHN Canada to individuals interested in admission

for treatment. Manage a case load of potential leads to convert into admissions.

• Arrange and schedule all patient admissions into EHN Canada programs.
• Complete assessments and input data into CRM and EMR databases.
• Provide information and engage with leads generated through digital marketing efforts, such as

email, Facebook Messenger and Drift Chat platforms.

• Act as liaison with Employee and Family Assistance Programs, Physicians, Psychologist,

Psychiatrists, Employers, RCMP Health Services, Department of National Defense and other

referral sources, families and therapists.

• Complete intake process with patients upon arrival at Edgewood.
• Routine follow up to patient’s referral and family members following admission with an

introduction to family programs for family members.

• Meet with families upon intake to provide treatment information, take payment, tour facility,

and provide information on family programs.

• Perform Support Staff responsibilities as required.
• On-Call rotation for information calls.
• Evening and weekend work required.
• Completer luggage searches and record and store personal effects.
• Screen potential emergency situations and make referrals to appropriate agencies.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Excellent communication, customer service and sales oriented skills. Outgoing with friendly

personality.

• Ability to work well under pressure, manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines with a

high regard for detail and accuracy is required.

• Proven ability and competency in all Support Staff functions and be familiar with Edgewood

policy and a procedure is an asset.

• Strong computer skills required.
• Completion of diploma or degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience with Salesforce and KIPU or similar CRM and EMR database is an asset.
• Must possess superior verbal and written communication and comprehension skills.
• Knowledge of 12 steps and treatment process and philosophy is an asset.
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week with an on-call rotation for info calls.
• Valid First Aid/CPR Level C.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Criminal record check clearance through the Ministry of Justice.
• Negative TB test.

Thursday – Monday; 40 hours per week
