Efiniti Telecommunications Services is a lead supplier of professional services in the Telecommunications and Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry. Efiniti is an Australian owned and based company that specialises in these fields across three business sectors — Carrier & ICT, Corporate & Government, and Technology Vendor.

We are looking for a senior software engineer to assist the company in developing various automation tools and web apps. The engineer will be in contact with various managers, SMEs, and engineers to be guided and consulted about the company’s needs and requirements, and then work on making them a reality.

Location:

• Macquarie Park NSW, 2113

Key Accountabilities:

• Build web apps and/or help maintain existing ones.

• Build automation tools that help in report generation or web scrapping/manipulation.

• Build small miscellaneous tools to accelerate certain tedious manual tasks.

• Communicate with management and the various stakeholders on the correctness and validity of your output alongside managing expectations regarding feasibility and time frames.

• Timely update and reports to key stakeholders

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the below qualifications, skills and experience:

Technical Skills (must haves):

• Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or Telco discipline or equivalent.

• Proficient in JavaScript (2+ years’ experience)

• Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Good skills with frontend web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)

• Experience working with Java and Python

Other skills and experience:

• Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or Telco discipline or equivalent

• AWS basic knowledge

• Experience with JS frameworks such as Node, React

• Working Linux knowledge

• Troubleshooting & analytical skills.

• Ability to work autonomously through good organisation and be able to perform under pressure

• Flexibility in approach to problems

• Takes ownership of problems and actions and shows persistence in delivering project outcomes in the face of adversity

• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including a personable and professional phone manner and the ability to explain technical issues using non-technical language

• Interest in technology and hunger to learn new products and features

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ability to start ASAP
