Description
The Engineer Sr is responsible for delivery of end-to-end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.
Provides technical advice and weighs in on technical decisions that impact cross functional teams.
Researches and may propose new technologies.
Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
Develops and defines application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
May own technical testing to ensure unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed, and system is implemented according to plan.
Assesses status and supports data information planning.
Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
Maintains technical development environment.
Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.
Will begin to set direction at the project/service level and influences decision-making.
Provides technical guidance, and mentoring.
Understands the tradeoffs between technical, analytical and product needs of the technical solutions.
Identifies and propose strategies around technical problems affecting team, communicates standards and gets buy-in on solutions.
Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.
Supports vendor evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications:

Self-driven leader/self-motivated learner ( Do you require a lot of direction, or can you move forward and lead conversations and drive solutions to implementation?)
Ability to think critically and problem solve highly preferred
Wide breadth of technical knowledge (Certs, TSL, Data storage, SAN, NAS, security, authorization, authentication, CI-CD pipeline, query optimization)
Cloud knowledge (docker deployments, data storage, event architecture, data lakes, cloud architecture principles, AWS, Azure, difference between PAAS/SAAS)
Data analysis (Security, structured and non-structured data, NLP, AI/ML, tools used in the past to assist with data analysis)
Data visualization experience
Detailed oriented and excellent at time management
Workflow (How can workflow help to streamline processes, what are some examples of workflow technologies you have implemented, what did you learn from those implementations?)
Automation (BPA, RPA, self-service capabilities)
Python/R (What type of python development experience do you have, and how have you used python in a data analytics process in the past?)
SQL – (optimized query structures, Indexes, triggers, degrees of parallelism, multi-threading, paging)
Security – (how to build security into the mindset of the development team, what vulnerability tools have you worked with before?
ML AI – Have you implemented any machine learning algorithms, if so, what algorithm have you used in the past, linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree, Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, etc? Can you give me an example of the difference between a few of them?
Experience with service-oriented architecture/object-oriented design/micro-services – publications of micro-services/type of development tools/languages.
Understands quote to card metrics and how to analyze data along the way.

Annual Salary Range*: $104,800-$131,000
