The USAID Office in Mission in Mexico is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a Acquisition and Assistance Assistant position in the USAID Mexico Program Office (PO).
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Possible travel as stated in the Statement of Duties.
The Office of Acquisition and Assistance (OAA)’s Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to OAA, in a variety of procurement and non-procurement actions as well as administrative support to the Financial Management Office (FMO). The main function of the Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) Assistant is to work closely with OAA’s staff in providing data collection and administrative duties. The incumbent will report directly to the Supervisory Contracting/Agreement Officer.

Post Entry Training: On-the-job and formal coursework training to master USAID’s organizational structure, policies, rules and procedures, and operations, as well as those specifically related to strategic planning, program budgeting, and in special program areas related to assigned duties as available, warranted, or required.
Education: Completion of Secondary Schooling and two or more years of college or university studies are required.

Experience: At least three years of procurement or closely related field experience in a nonprofit organization, donor organization (including government).
Job Knowledge: A general overall knowledge of office administrative functions and procurement.
Skills: Customer Service Oriented, positive attitude, and able to maintain effective relationships between staff and management. Tact dealing with sensitive procurement matters. Ability to work under pressure, able to work with multi task action; and thorough knowledge of computers in Microsoft Office Package.
Language: Level IV (fluent) English language proficiency, speaking and writing is required. Level IV (fluent) Spanish language proficiency, speaking and writing is required.
