Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. He kōrero mō te tūranga – The role
This role allows you to contribute to community well-being while you work alongside tangata whaiora moving through the Corrections system. As part of a team you will create an environment which supports tangata whaiora to achieve planned goals increasing their potential to successfully re-integrate back into the community.
We provide mixed accommodation and the house is staffed 24/7 with rostered shifts, so flexibility is required. Shifts include 7am – 3.30pm, 3pm – 11.30pm and 11pm – 7.30am.
He kōrero mōu – About you
A positive attitude and willingness to share your experience and actively seek out knowledge in accommodation, well-being, community support, education and training, employment and skills for life is highly desirable. Every day has variety but some shifts are slower so being self-motivated, energetic and having a sense of fun goes a long way in making this role your own. You’ll be a people person who is comfortable working with all ages, personalities and cultures. Each new day can bring new challenges. Hand on heart, you need to say you are capable of providing structure and consistency while being compassionate, open minded and flexible.
