EMERGE Looking for Software Engineer at Denver, CO Full Time

We are partnered with a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. They build high-fidelity sensors and leverage proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders.

The Software Engineer will collaborate with the engineering team to enhance and maintain existing web applications while also designing and developing new features and applications. The ideal candidate is innovative, detail-oriented, eager to learn new technologies, and ready to contribute wherever needed to drive progress.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in modern web application
• Experience designing and implementing web application backend APIs and services in at least one modern object-oriented programming language
• Experience working with at least one modern front end web application framework such as React, Angular, VueJS
• Strong fundamental understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, DOM manipulation, XHR, HTTP, WebSockets, RESTful APIs
• Experience with Entity Framework or another modern ORM

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, support, and extend our existing web-based products and services
• Work closely with our engineering team to design, develop and deliver new applications and features for both internal and external users
• Build and optimize API’s for both web applications and IoT devices
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and contribute to the development of automated testing procedures and systems
• Deploy and manage various applications in AWS
• Optimize websites and applications to improve performance, user experience, and usability across a wide range of browsers, devices, and screen sizes
