Emergent Ltd NZ Looking for Assistant Accountant at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to start immediately on the North Shore. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll work with a great team, with a strong culture. You will be sole charge of the finance space for our client. This is a 2-month temporary opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable (receipting, allocations, invoicing, credits, statement runs, master data maintenance and management)
• Credit control (monitor ATB, collections, credit checks)
• Accounts payable (invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, preparation of supplier payments lists, loading payments in banking application, master data maintenance and management)
• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and other finance and administration duties.
• Update, maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
• Calculate and process prepayments, accruals, and other month end accounting journals as required.
• Prepare monthly SLOB inventory and doubtful debts provision reports.
• Working capital reports (cash + cash forecasting)
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

What you bring:

• Proven experience as an assistant accountant or relevant role.
• Excellent organising abilities.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good with numbers and figures.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
