Position Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into a database, ensuring that all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, the data entry clerk must verify, edit data, and prepare periodic reports as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Proficiently able to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Maintain database by entering new and updated client and account information.
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Establish entry priorities
• Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
• Verify entered client and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
• Purge files to eliminate duplication of data.
• Secure information by completing data base backups.
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Professionally communicate over the telephone and e-mail various parties, internally and externally of the company.
• Comprehension of different programs and relationships involved with Prime Administrators, Inc.
• Provide information to direct supervisor when requested.
• Verbal and written request to direct supervisor is required for any issues regarding lack of training and development for position.

Preferred Skills:

The Data Entry Clerk will possess a combination of basic computer skills, organization skills, quick typing skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and thoroughness. Must be able to multitask. Must have skills to work independently as well as on teams. In addition, excellent communication skills-both verbal and written. Possess understanding and dedication to the philosophies of the company.
