We are looking for a talented Java/C# Developer to join our vibrant and inclusive team!

In this role, you will be developing, testing and maintaining our core application used by our customers across Australia.

In this role, you will need to:

• A demonstrable track record of building highly scalable, performant and resilient systems/software

• Proven experience in Java

• Experience / knowledge of Visual Studio (C#, .NET framework), JS, Node.JS, HTML and CSS would be highly beneficial

• Solid understanding of backend technologies including Dropwizard and Hibernate

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases

• Experience working within a cloud-based environment (we use AWS)

• Experience with agile development

• Strong understanding of full stack engineering in a complex development environment

• Understanding of integration technologies: Microservices, RESTful APIs, JSON/XML Structured Logging

• Experience with version control, preferably Git

• Knowledge of serverless technologies and CI/CD will be a bonus

– The ability to build scalable and maintainable software-as-a-service applications using modern JVM languages

• Willingness to learn and apply new methodologies and techniques as required

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or relevant field

• Great communication skills, able to discuss engineering issues and trade-offs without hesitation.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in specification, design, development, and testing of applications within a commercial environment.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in SQL and database development
• Strong experience with Java and Visual Studio (C#, .NET framework)
• Knowledge of JS, Node.JS, HTML and CSS beneficial but not essential
• Work independently or as part of a global team
• Be available outside of business hours if required
• Identify problems, recommend solutions and perform triage in a team environment”
