Position Overview

The Permitting Scheduler is responsible for creating work orders and assigning permit running resources to ensure that permits are submitted and picked up in an efficient and timely manner. A good candidate will be organized, detail oriented, and have an ownership spirit.

Responsibilities:

• Create work orders and assign permit running resources so permits are submitted and picked up in an efficient and timely manner
• Interface with permitting subcontractors to ensure permits are submitted and picked up per their service agreement
• Review permit queue daily to determine what permits are ready to be issued and submitted
• Proactively identify requirements and potential roadblocks and facilitating resolutions so permits remain on schedule
• Assist the office administrators, permit runners, and permitting subcontractors on the permitting process from submission to approval
• Call AHJs for application processes, cost, status updates, and jurisdiction confirmation
• Work constructively and effectively with various local jurisdictions
• Fill out applications to submit and pick up permits as needed

Qualifications:

• Permit Running: 1 year (Preferred)
• Scheduling and Dispatch: 1 year (Preferred)
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable and successful with daily schedules and firm deadlines
• Computer-savvy – must be able to use and navigate through Word and Excel
• Experience interfacing with municipality electrical and building departments
