The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled Contract Website Developer with a strong focus on WordPress for short-term projects. The candidate will be responsible for comprehensive development tasks, including both front-end aesthetics and back-end functionality. This role is ideal for someone with an in-depth understanding of WordPress, looking to apply their technical skills in a flexible and dynamic project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage WordPress websites from initial concept to completion.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Ensure high performance and availability of the site, managing all technical aspects.
• Optimize website for speed and scalability.
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing WordPress websites as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s needs.
• Provide timely delivery of projects and technical support throughout.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven contract or freelance experience as a Website Developer with a strong focus on WordPress.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with PHP and understanding WordPress file structure and code.
