Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our high-frequency trading systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both software development and systems engineering, coupled with a passion for building robust and scalable infrastructure.

The Trading Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development, optimization, and maintenance of our high-frequency trading systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, a deep understanding of financial markets, and a passion for building and supporting mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

System Architecture and Design:

• Design and implement high-performance trading systems architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of trading strategies with the overall technology infrastructure.

Low-Latency Optimization:

• Optimize trading system components for low-latency execution.
• Conduct performance analysis and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency.

Market Data Integration:

• Develop and maintain interfaces for real-time market data feeds.
• Ensure the timely and accurate integration of market data into trading algorithms.

Order Execution and Management:

• Implement and optimize order execution algorithms.
• Develop tools for order management and risk control.

Monitoring and Support:

• Establish and maintain monitoring tools for system performance and reliability.
• Provide tier-3 support for production issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Collaboration with Quantitative Researchers:

• Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to implement and optimize trading strategies.
• Translate quantitative models into efficient and scalable code.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience supporting a live trading environment
• Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems, from hardware and kernel to applications
• Experience with configuration management tools, particularly SaltStack but Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or CFEngine are also a plus
• Python programming experience focusing on automation and integration
• Advanced shell (bash) scripting experience
• Experience managing and debugging production services
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Experience and knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu is a plus
• Ability to manage projects efficiently
• Architect-level cloud experience in AWS or GCP is desirable
