At Eni, we are looking for a Grievance Mechanism Officer in Sánchez Magallanes, Tabasco Mexico. You will be responsible for overseeing all the activity related to grievance mechanism, by ensuring to reach the objectives and minimizing the impact in the territory. Defining and implementing of the local development Program for Grievance Mechanism in Eni Mexico. Following up of all the receiving Grievance and where possible try to anticipate possible Grievance, working on the territory with community.

As a member of the Sustainability Team at ETB you will be responsible for:

• Managing of relationship with local authorities, Community, and others relevant Stakeholders.
• The job holder based on site is responsible for following the grievance procedure to receive, acknowledge, record, investigate, respond and close out all grievances.
• Engaging the relevant stakeholders at every stage of the grievance mechanism to ensure progress to deliver closure of grievances.
• Undertaking all the required reporting requirements using the available tools not limited to grievance form hard copies, grievance log sheet in excel and the social management database system.
• Arranging and attending stakeholder meetings where requested.
• Making recommendations to enhancements of the grievance procedure in line with international best practice as well as any provisions required by the legislative framework of the state.
• Maintaining a thorough and current understanding of issues in the communities that may impact on company activities in the territory or can impact the good relationship with communities.
• Preparing a periodic report related to the activities performed
• Organizing and attend periodic meetings with local authorities and stakeholder involved in area of the Project
• Carrying out meeting with representatives of communities as many times is necessary to keep them informed about the Company activities in the area or update the community regarding Eni activities in the territory.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Knowledge of English
• Bachelor´s Degree sociology, business administration or engineering
• Previous of practical experience working with community-based development project, preferably in the vicinity of the planned project area. Experience in the extractives sector will be of great advantage.
• Previous experience in Social Project Management (Education, Economic diversification, Halts, Water, Agriculture, Fishing, etc.
• Knowledge in handling conflicts in compliance with international best practice.
• Knowledge of the international standards and associated HSSE requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office as well as Database software like Access, Project and Social data software.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

Location:

Sánchez Magallanes, Tabasco Mexico. Frequent visits to the communities and projects in influence.

Contract type:

24 months, 5 days on 2 days off
